Who Should Get to Eat Wild?

Wild Food and Medicine as a Human Right

At Foraging Home, we believe that knowledge and access to fresh, in season, healthy food (and medicine) should be a human right. Not just something to be enjoyed by diners at expensive trendy restaurants, or as an pricey tourist “experience” - but something we should learn from a young age, practice often, and share in community.

That’s why I created the Wild Food Community Walks. It is an opportunity for those who want to connect with and build relationship to the wild abundant food and medicine that grows all around us, to begin incorporating these into your meals and medicine cabinet, and to do it all with the support and joy of community- on beautiful walks in the woods!

And while there are so many physical, economic, and social blocks to this being equally accessible to all people, I want to make it as available to folks as possible. This offering is easy-entry (come as often and when you can, no long-term immersion commitments required!), low cost, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. If the price is out of your comfortable reach right now, pay what you can and please join us.

Our next walk is TOMORROW (September 9th) and we will be gathering most Tuesdays now through October, so join us for one or many evening strolls as we feel into the shifting seasons.

Love this idea but unable to join us? We offer these (and all our programs) at a sliding scale for anyone who needs it, and welcome your support in keeping this important knowledge and connection open to all who seek it.
